Excerpt from The Kingdom Rav Sha'ul   The Apostle Paul’s Dilemma by Rav Sha'ul                    Paul had a dilemma in that he was commissioned to take the Gospel to the pagan Gentile nations in order to call out those of The House of Israel lost among them.  The problem Paul had was that the Jews and even the disciples did not understand what Yahusha had truly said.  So Paul had some “explaining” to do!  Explain he did and we are going to dissect his explanation in detail. Paul “called” the lost sheep Gentiles just as YHVH foretold.  Paul couldn’t identify them and the lost sheep themselves had (and even today have) no idea who they are because YHVH caused them to lost all knowledge of their identity to cease from among men.  Deuteronomy 32:26  26 I said, I would scatter them into (all) corners (of Earth), I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men (no one would know they are truly Israelites): Paul “called” The House of Judah “Israel” because they were living in the land of Israel and citizens of the Roman province known as Israel.  We must know scripture concerning who was who in order to understand what Paul was saying as it gets a little confusing.  But Paul knew YHVH had also promised to reverse this situation and then cause them to remember His Name and write His Law on their hearts: Jeremiah 16:21 And, behold, I will make them know; this time I will cause them to know My hand and My might; and they shall know that My name is Yahuah. The other disciples being common uneducated types failed to understand these things as only Paul was an expert in The Torah and Prophets.  Taking the Gospel to the “Gentiles” became a major point of contention as the other disciples did not understand that The House of Israel was lost and “called” Gentiles.  They accused Paul of disobeying Yahusha’s command and YHVH’s revealed Will and thought Paul was literally expanding the definition of Remnant Israel to include truly pagan Gentiles outside of the chosen bloodline.  You see, The Jews deny there is any such thing as “Lost Tribes” among the Gentile nations.  This is true even today of Judaism.  Remember, they went to war with The House of Israel and remain even today in rebellion against them.  This is just one of many reasons The Jews will not accept Yahusha as the Messiah.  He simply hasn’t come for them yet and they would be forced to admit that most (9 out of 12 Tribes of Israel) are currently lost considered “Gentiles” in need of a Shepherd to lead them home. Yahuah made it clear that The House of Israel would be lost and without their identity among the Gentile nations.  Hosea 1 6 Then she conceived again and gave birth to a daughter. And YHVH said to him, “Name her Lo-ruhamah, for I will no longer have compassion on the house of Israel, that I would ever forgive them. 7 But I will have compassion on the house of Judah and deliver them by YHVH their God, and will not deliver them by bow, sword, battle, horses or horsemen.” Hosea 9 17 My God will reject them (speaking of The House of Israel) because they have not obeyed him (broke His Laws); they will be wanderers among the (pagan) nations (Gentiles). Below, YHVH speaks through the prophet Isaiah of how His Plan was to re-marry The House of Israel and bring His estranged wife back and restore her completely.  YHVH talks about how He literally “hid His face” from The House of Israel: Isaiah 54 5 For your Maker is your husband— YHVH Almighty is His Name— the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth. 6 YHVH will call you (The House of Israel) back as if you were a wife deserted and distressed in spirit— a wife who married young, only to be rejected,” says your God. 7 “For a brief moment I abandoned you, but with deep compassion I will bring you back. 8 In a surge of anger I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you,” says YHVH your Redeemer. Yahusha knew this was his first mission as Messiah and so did The Apostle Paul.  Those lost sheep of The House of Israel would consider themselves pagan “Gentiles” and would not even know their own identity.  So Paul had to speak to them on terms they would and could accept.  Paul admitted as much that he would have to become all things to all men just to win a few.  Paul is speaking of how he would have to meet both houses where they were to reach them individually.  1 Corinthians 9:19-23 19 Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. 20 To the Jews (House of Judah) I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. … To those not having the law (The House of Israel) I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from The Law of YHVH but am under The Yahushaic Covenant), so as to win those (The House of Israel) not having the law (being lost among the Gentiles). But Paul always made it clear that Yahuah’s choice of both houses of Israel stood and the Messiah was given to help the descendants of Abraham.  So while Paul “became all things to all men to win a few” we have to try and keep up with him and always keep in mind YHVH’s will and keep everything in context of His Prophets… especially where Paul’s writings are concerned.  Next: How did Paul recognize The House of Israel?
